Looking Ahead

Been on an Air Journey, is to enjoy each destination at his maximum for the guests. On the organisation side it to look forward and prepare the stops.

There are decisions to be made, the Journey Director assess the situation and selects the best option to be presented at the meeting where we brief the next day flight or flights.

Last year we had to keep a sharp eye on a Tropical/Hurricane  depression ( called Cyclone in this part of the world) and this year seems to be heading the same way.

I have a difficult time to understand how a Cyclone can reach the shores of this part of the world with the dry air and the high temperatures.

But I am not disappointed, we have cyclone Ashobaa to deal with. Looks like Muscat in Oman is going to affected by the storm.

I do not see myself taking our journey to this part of the world, where we know there are not hangar space and the hotel is right on the water.

We need a plan "B:

To make matter worse, Oman is right before our stops in India.

By order of complications, India is the number one, most complicated country to get to and since we are going to Agra, a military base, we are adding another level of difficulty.

But we have a very nice and extremely efficient handler to get things done, the only issue is altho it takes time. Making changes do complicate things.

I make the decision to replace Muscat by Jaipur in India with a tech stop in Karachi, Pakistan for refueling.

The request are sent for the big changes, tech stop in Pakistan instead of overfly permit, first landing in India to be Jaipur with Custom and immigration onsite and a great Oberoi hotel reserved and confirmed for all of us.

I am stuck at the Burj for the organisation, cancel is the Dune Bashing and the Aston Martin experience fr me.

We are ready, or so I think so........
