The indian experience is coming to an end. We have seen all the aspect of the Indian life, from the splendor of the past, to the present world and the growing population.
Our next stop is Thailand and its refinements, but we cannot go there non-stop it is too far for most of us. So we have a stop in Kolkata planned for fuel.
The main idea of this leg is to clear custom in Agra on departure, a rather simple arrangement with advance notice and then fly to Kolkata, just for fueling and then on our way to Chiang Mai.
Great plan , lets hope the weather in Kolkata is going to be on our side.

the ramp at Agra
Prep of the plane
Fuel testing
If the bottle does not turn pink we are ok
Leaks?
Can be helpful in some situation.
we are in India and the transmission are like the 1950 rules. You make contact with the next controller and then report back that communication has been established
All is well except the next controller is Delhi and is very very busy...but it worked.
What a sight on take-off from Agra
The skies are crowded at FL 370
Then we switch to the new guy who told us that radar was not working and we had to do reporting over VOR with 50 other airplanes...But it work too.
Now we are on approach to Delhi with the arrival and the ILS 19 and a clear set up for parking, refuel and the necessary paperwork.
Kolkata does not failed on its "Open Space" policy..pretty sad this year
Well this is what Satellite is given us, so we have a game plan
This is from the Ipad screen while enroute to Chiang Mai.
Guillaume gave us a strategy, the Mustang is the first one to go. on this route
the communication in Bangladesh have not improved but we can do it with our Airlines relay , then come Myanmar, and so far this is the worst of the journey..the repeater is atrocious, but for weather avoidance to our left we set a course direct to SISUK, the entry point of Thailand.
We did communicate a couple of time for reporting and the whole group followed our path.
No weather except on arrival in Chiang Mai.
This is what the radar face us, look at the scale and this was right on the final approach fix.
Guess what, we flew between the two and got a visual to runway 36 with a strong crosswind about 25KTS
Tom was behind us and we told him to select runway 18, he got it and flew in blue skies
When the PC12 arrived a short time later the storm had moved on and they landed VMC but with a 8 kts tailwind on rwy 36, the one assigned to them.
This is the actual weather as we took off from Kolkata
This is our track
